Mending Hearts Counselling

“Although we may not always have choice in what is presented in our lives, it is so empowering to know that with awareness and knowledge that is available to us, we always have choice in how we want to show up in our present moment and how we want to experience it. Turns out we were never victims of life but rather it’s students:) It would be my honour to help you ace yours.”

 Our Scope

Our scope of practise is to help bring awareness, knowledge and compassion to all humans, of any gender, race, age and ethnicity. We each experience life in a very unique way. We all have different upbringings and family dynamics and societal expectations that surround us and essentially shape us into who we are becoming or already become. On top of learning how to survive in the area and circumstances of the world we were born in, we are also presented with many hats throughout our lifetime that give us many different titles that come with responsibilities and new experiences. Students, partners, friends, parents, coworkers, daughters, sons, bosses, managers, wives, husbands, lovers, spouses, etc. I always wondered why there wasn't any formal education on these very important roles in our lives. There is education and or training for most occupations if not all, a hairdresser, a teacher, a plumber, a doctor, a computer analyst, a make up artist, a lawyer, a truck driver, a customer service representative, any position really. There is always training present, and weekly check ins, and meetings, and continued education and support. Here, at Mending Hearts Counselling we believe in the power of education, check ins, support, and information on all hats we wear in life. We also believe in the power of understanding who we are in order to understand our patterns of behaviour. The power of understanding the science supporting our beautiful mind and heart that bring forth our feelings and emotions and how they are expressed to ourselves and others. How can we become the best version of ourselves in our current lives with the current roles that we hold given the path we have walked on so far? How can we find peace in the roles that we have chosen or stumbled into? How can we heal traumas that have been attached to us all these years that were inherited or experienced first hand? How can we love ourselves and have that love be reflected back to us by those around us? How can we reach our goals? How can we become that which we dream of? Let us explore this together, let us clarify these goals and the necessary actions to achieve them. Let us uncover and acknowledge the obstacles that arise through that process and break down all barriers thus allowing for life changing outcomes.
